In October 2019, Apple released macOS Catalina, the latest version of the OS for Mac. The new OS is gradually being rolled out. If you own a Mac and have not yet upgraded to Catalina, you will be prompted to upgrade soon. New permission for screen recording. The Screenshot app in macOS Mojave — and now macOS Catalina — provides on-screen controls for easy access to every screenshot option and new video recording capabilities. Press Command + Shift + 5 on your keyboard to bring up the screenshot toolbar, then choose either Record Entire Screen or Record Selected Portion. When I add a shot with screen capture it is simply blank. I have tried different screens (using multiple screens) and different settings but nothing happens. It has worked fine until now. It might be that this stopped working when I upgraded to the latest MAC OS Catalina 10.15.2 or when I upgraded to the latest version of Wirecast 13.02. With Catalina (10.15), Apple has introduced a new security and privacy update for Mac. You must grant access to XD in order to record the contents of your screen. To grant access to XD for screen recording: From the Apple menu, go to System Preferences Security & Privacy, and click Privacy. Smart switch mac os x. Need to check Screen capture permission for my Desktop Application built With Electron(1.7.10), tried node-mac-permissions, and mac-screen-capture-permissions libraries but didn't work or not supported with Electron 1.7.10. And ELectron Version Upgrade is not feasible for my Desktop Application as there are many methods deprecated in Latest.
But, I can only get USB working (as you have seen) for getting these screen captures. The LAN works, but I cannot get the RIGOL to respond to control commands (LXI), but it should.
The legacy web interface works, for example see:
and of course I can ping it (goes without saying since we can access it using HTTP):
Scanning the RIGOL DS1054Z had revealed:
But so far, cannot get this RIGOL to respond to either nc or telnet commands.
This is really perplexing me. We can see from this screen grab that the LAN I/O is off, but I cannot find a way (yet) to turn it on...
If I could only figure out how to turn the LAN I/O on ..

The USB and the LAN cable cannot be used at the same time.. so when I removed the USB cable, the LAN shows 'ON'.. (see next post)
